Toshima City Volunteer Guides for International Visitors (GIV), a nonprofit volunteer organization was established in December 2015 to facilitate international communication and help develop this region further. To accomplish those objectives, we provide free and friendly guide services, participate in major events taking place in this town and provide town information around the Ikebukuro area.

Our members are comprised of men and women, young and old, office workers, homemakers, company executives, retirees etc. We mainly speak English though not fluently and a few understand Spanish, Chinese and Korean. All of us living in Toshima city for many years love this city and like to meet with overseas travelers.

Our volunteer activities are supported by the Toshima City Tourism Association, a General Incorporated Association.

How to get here :
Our office located 1 minute walk from Ikebukuro station’s west exit. From the tickets gates of Ikebukuro Stations, please come up to the taxi stand on the ground level of the west gate of Ikebukuro station. (The tickets gates of JR and Tokyo subway lines are all located underground.)
